Im glad, Irina, that you mentioned 4 months 3 weeks and 2 days, because I wondered if I should go and watch this movie, so now I will!

And as for the above discussion, I can totally agree with you about everything you said about the intellectual elite....

I´m a day late, Irina, but what about Michael Jackson´s Thriller? lol!
No, seriously, I´m not that much into horrors so no help from me Very Happy

Something totally different - I´ve just watched the film "Ray" about Ray Charles and I have to say it touched me, plus Jamie Fox was really great in the leading role. I love biographies and this was again very interesting indeed.
In fact, all films about famous artists I have seen have been really interesting with "The Jacksons: An American Dream" about Michael and his family, "What´s love got to do with it" about Tina Turner and "Chaplin" about Charlie Chaplin being my favourite ones. You can draw much inspiration from such films, and it´s interesting to see the life of these people behind the scenes and their personal fight to overcome all obstacles in their work and life (if shooted intelligently with respect, objectivity and paying attention to being as true as possible).

hello ladies!
i've just came from the cinema.i watched the Duchess, with keira knightley .i liked this movie.....altough i don\t like keira, i was impressed.
not only because it was about the past, history, politics, love, but because it was human.almost real.
i always would have liked to live in the past, and this movie convinced me that i would have liked it.they have different kind of problems, but who has the power always knows a way of solving them.this way is not always a good one, but still problems are alwys hidden.there is a naturality in solving problems of life which i miss from our lives.we like complicating life.
life in the past was also complicated but still, they lived through....
another aspect is that in the moovie there are shown the eyes of the persons, i like this because this way they become credible.
i also liked the music of the film, and Dominic Cooper(charles grey in the moovie)
the moovie reminded me of 'atonement', partly because of keira....

Hey folks!

I´ve been to the cinema yesterday (with my mom and two of my friends - boys Very Happy)and as probably one of the last people have seen Mamma Mia! Goodness me, WHAT A MOVIE!!!

I thought it would be just a typical Hollywood sweetie musical remake with great songs. How wrong was I! It is one of the loveliest, cutest, warmest and funniest movies I´ve seen in a long time Very Happy The cast was absolutely SUPERB! Pierce Brosnan and Stellan Skarsgaard were so funny, Colin Firth was Amour26 and great as always, Amanda Seyfried (who I never saw before) was so cute and refreshing as Sophie, Julie Walters and Christine Baranski as Donna´s best friends were absolutely hillarious and Meryl Streep (Donna) is just in a class of her own, stunning!! And how they can sing ... I mean especially when Meryl was singing The Winner Takes It All, I was like :sotr_th43:
But EVERYTHING was so wonderful in it! The beautiful setting, the nice story, absolutely hillarious scenes and dialogues to die for :lach: (I can´t remember when I laughed so hard the last time), brilliant performances by every actor, such great dance scenes and of course, that beautiful and never-dying (and beautifully almost originally arranged) music which will live forever...

That all may not seem very new to you, but I would like to add something else, a lovely experience: during the whole movie, not a few people (including me) were first humming and later singing the songs (mostly in between the scenes where everybody was laughing like crazy). By the last scene we were loudly singing and there was some kind of magical atmosphere in the cinema, in the end, everybody was leaving with a wide smile on their face, humming the Abba-songs, despite of the fact that outside, it was snowing like in the middle of January. Everyone felt so warm as we were there in Greece sunny

I just wanted to share this lovely experience with you. At least, it has made my day a lot brighter Smile

Michelle

i also saw a cute little movie called " a beautiful thing ". it's the story about the first between two boys. it's no big drama and no tragedy, it's just nice. it's a british movies. i don't know why but i think that when the brits are good are a lot better then americans, in making movies i mean.

i saw a cute little movie lately called a beautiful thing. it's a nice british movie about two teenagers. one of them has a shitty family. the other one even if he only lives with his mum , he gets along with her very well and she is a very strong but nice character. the two boys end up knowing each other better and fall in love. it's no big drama, just a cute story. and the two actors are very believable. it's just a feel good movie.

adelina, are you trying to scare your neighbors ? lol!

well, i am watching something quite different from everything i saw before. it is a series called " queer as folk ". it's a tv series about some gay friends males and females. it's funny, it's entertaining and it's sexy as hell. i only recommend it if you are ok with very graphic sex scenes between same sex people.
the 2 main characters called justin and brian are so hot it's unbelievable.
i heard about this some time ago and never got around to watching it but now that i've seen a couple of episodes i think i became addicted.

thanks nina tire la langue
