It is better Brian watch out, because in TEB will be Kozuka and Chan and it seems the judges have some new favorites... scratch

I can only join the others in saying that Patrick Chan got more than overscored in the LP, I guess the national background did a thing or two... Suspect
Besides, I have to say I totally disliked Ryan Bradleys LP. I´m sorry to say it but I totally hated the music cut (too often used in skating, too loud), it was too wild for me and despite of high techical difficulty (thumbs up for going for it), I absolutely don´t like Ryan´s jumping style. Maybe I´m totally blind but everything looked a bit ragged to me...Sad
Yannick... well, I´m still not a big fan of his music for LP, but it was a good performance and I thought he would be at least third...I can´t understand his 4th place either scratch
I have seen only the ending of Lysacek, but no changes in my feelings - he still hasn´t made me like him Razz

Btw, I think I saw Lisa a couple of times Wink If I'm not wrong, she is next to the K&C and wears a red sweater. She's sitting close to the woman who gives out stuffed animals all the time Razz

When I heard Ryan Bradley's music I said to myself "oh no, not again!". That's the same program he used for the 2006-07 season.

But I do remember watching this program live at 2004 Nationals and having fun watching it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISEYOXCf4zk

Heck, I think I have him on video at his first senior Nationals -- 2000, when he was 16.

Bradley is usually comic relief at Nationals: not quite good enough to medal most of the time, but he's such a character on the ice he can easily break the tension the audience feels. When there was a lot of tension at 2006 nationals (trying to figure out the Olympic team) he came out in the middle of it and skated to Saturday Night Fever mdr . http://gallery.ice-skate.net/gallery/251

Patrick Chan's skating, :thud: . He doesn't need to jump, as far as I'm concerned. The rest of his skating is so fluid and looks so effortless.

And I liked Ponsero's LP in general, for once. Usually I love his SPs but lose interest during his LP. Of course, not landing the jumps most of the time doesn't help that Sad . It's gotta be psychological.

I loved Joannie's program. Amour26 She was constantly performing and skating to the music, compared to most of the others who were skating on top of the music. :super: Plus, she really look a woman and not a pretty ballerina. First place deserved, Joannie rocked tonight ! clap

Our worst expectations are coming true...I am talking about the canadian team and all what is connected to it....This is AWFUL!!!!
And i absolutely agree with Iza,Brian should get even more focused on TEB,than he did before Lambiel's retirement.Someone might find it less interesting without Lambiel at TEB,including me... Laughing BUT...the reality has changed my mind completely... Exclamation There is no way for mistakes at TEB,Brian!!!The judges do wait for them in order to show their unfair power...Let's break their plans! Very Happy Wink
And Poor Yannick,i hoped that he has finally overcame his emotional difficulties, but alas...

I am very very happy for Yuko Kavaguci and Alexandr Smirnov!!!Well done!I was so sad during last WC,when they missed their 3-d place in the last moment, cause they deserve to be on high places!!!I heartly wish them good luck for the rest of the season!

Speaking about girls,i have liked Joannie for all my fanlife of figure skating! So,congratulations to her!!!

Congrats to Joannie! Even I'm not such a big fan of her she had a great sp...didn't saw the lp.

Congrats to Patrick Chan for winning the first place!
I'm sorry for Yannick! Sad He made mistakes so I don't think it's really unfair the result. Patrick had too, i don't like him but his lp was good.

Haha yes I've seen her too! I think it's her

Patrick Chan looks very graceful on the ice and is intresting to watch, but first place scratch and Yanick fourth hmmm.
Evan's program looked well. I had fun watching it. Too bad his landing weren't clear. A little bit rough around the edges hihi

I hope there will be different judges at TEB!

I will join for your opinion about unfair 4th places for Yannick. Unfortunately he has a fall Sad. It's another time when I don't agree with score, but of course my opinion is so subjective Wink and I always want that my favourites skaters have the best programme Wink (as we all, it's good that I like many of them Wink ).
When I was watching Evan's performance after 2 minutes I had a pain in my hand Wink He really worked very hard Wink

Shaun Sawyer won the free skate???

Some amazing happenings so far on the GP - I look forward to hearing what Lisa has to say about it all at SAC!

I'm getting more & more curious about TEB & how the marks will be handed out......

Thank you for the INFO about Ryan, Karen !!!! cheers I'm sure that the music of up tempo to fit well to him. Last season, he skated on slow number(God fater) but ... ummm. I hope that this season is good for him like a 2006-2007 season !!
Spoiler:

and about Koduka... I've read an article on Japanese Figure magazine, and he said on it that he'd trained Compulsory figures during this summer. I think that his fundamental technique is high level... I think that he can be a top skater if his performance become more artistic like stephane. it's just my opinion. Wink

Just some impressions from me Wink

Men:
I love Patrick Chan's style! Amour26 I paid my attention at him during Worlds 2008 and to my mind yesterday he was amazing! I know that he fell and that he shouldn't have won SC but his style and choreography which is really difficult made me fall in love with his LP! :cloud9: The steps are so fast, small and with sooo many turns! What is more before and after each jump something is happening so he doesn't have time to prepare himself! I enjoyed his performance a lot!!!
I also liked Evan's LP but somehow his new moves remind me of Yagudin, let's guess why is that? Razz Anyway I feel like his straight line step sequence is something special Wink
And Yanninck... the LP is really rocking to me! It suits him sooooo well!!! Maybe it's not the most difficult and complicated LP ever but it has a potential and I hope that soon he will skate it better Very Happy Voronov... nothing impressive this time! And Bradley... there is something heavy about him... for me he was OK but I was neither moved nor amused Rolling Eyes

Ladies:
Joannie was stunning!!! :faint18x19wy5: Simply perfect!!!
As for Caroline Zhang her face expression is always the same and even though she has a really good technick somehow the only thing that I was waiting for was her unbeliveable spin which she did at the very end of her programm. Carolina Kostner.. well.. I'm dissappointed... Her jumps are not as steady as they used to be and it seemed to me that she was not enjoying her time on the ice.. Suspect

Ice dance:
I adore Nathalie and Fabian's OD!!! There were mistakes but this programm is amazing and I hope they will show it during next competition!!! :biellmando5:

I've not watched this competition yet.... silent I heard that Patrick Chan's steps were sooo nice though it was Practice. anyway I'll watch them on youtube asap. I remember that I was exciting on Patrick Chan's performance of 2008 Canada nationals.

I'm sorry for Yannick - he lost bronze by less than a point...still it's great to see him fighting til the end despite the mistake on the first jump. It wasn't always like this in the past. I'm not into Chan's skating - his perfomances don't appeal to me. Ryan Bradley at first made me Suspect but then :greensmilewink - got me in the better mood. I find Evan's LP boring (with an exception of the last step sequence) and oh, he looks fat in this costume (Brandon Mroz had a terrible costume too). Shawn Sawyer rocked!

Like Nina, I can't wait to see Pechalat/Bourzat's (especialy Fabian :faint18x19wy5: :naughty15kz: ) FD!!!

Congrats to Joannie clap !!!!Concerning Carolina.....I don't worry much, cause it was her first GP of the season,so its completely natural that she isn't in her best shape yet(its still a long time till Europeans....enough time to improve jumps and stuff Wink )!!!!At first I was "shocked" as her choice was Swan Lake, but now I very much love it,as it isn't a much used part of it!!Though I would so much love that the ladies would leave the classical music and choose something different, like Sarah, who here and than took movie soundracks!!

Karen thanks for the news about Ryan Very Happy!!!Oh,I really enjoyed his LP yesterday so much(veeeery entertaining) Cool!!Already looking forward to see it at TEB!!

i did not manage to watch much of skate canada since i was not home. i just watched now the free dance. i liked the little Canadians ( sorry i do not remember their names ) and i already knew i like nathalie and fabian fd. but nathalie and fabian seemed e little tired and out of focus.
davis and white are quite nice and i must say i love charlie's hair Razz

i will watch the rest of the programs to see what everybody is talking about. but i must say i dislike patrick chan a lot and i will sure not be happy if he gets ahead of brian. i just don't like the way chan looks on the ice.

saori, your ryan bradley banner is a lot of fun !!!!

I was watching the FDs live and I have to say I was quite bored until Nath & Fab came, though it´s true, they looked definately out of control and speed this weekend, let´s hope it´s nothing serious...
I have to say I absolutely LOVED Davis & White´s FD - it was GORGEOUS!!! I never thought I would say it, but they really got me Very Happy Besides, I almost burst into laugh when the Czech commentator said that their style and looks remind him of Marina Anissina & Gwendal Peizerat - I think that´s a bit exaggerated but anyway, a great compliment sunny I´m sure they will give B/A a run for the money when they meet head to head, I definately prefer their FD to Tanith&Ben´s Wink

I didn't think that! I really liked Ekaterina BOBROVA / Dmitri SOLOVIEV and Kimberly NAVARRO / Brent BOMMENTRE USA . They had good program, dynamic.
Even if I am a fan I don't know why but I didn't like so much Natalie/Fabian' s program hide8up
Davis and White had a very nice performance and I'm glad for them.
