I don't want to talk pessimistic but I think that European skaters are not as good as enough...
Carolina took fourth place,Sarah took seventh place after the short programme, and Voronov took sixth place, Adrian took seventh place... These are I just remember for the present. And I think it's not good...Of course I don't look them down on,I can't do this... But I want to see that they win medals... Rolling Eyes scratch :brak:

mba - we are always delighted when members share their views on what they have seen on ice!!

That is very nice of you Sheena Smile I like reading all of yours opinion and find out what's going on Smile.

Today I was wathing FP and I must say that Tatiana VOLOSOZHAR / Stanislav MOROZOV are very good. I even can say they will be someone importat at European Championship. Only one problem ther is with a throws. But rest of the program is just perfect Smile.

About Tomas .. hmm.. we will see. He had a problem with quad. But last year I saw him on TV on some gala when he showed his SP and he had a problem but we remember how good he was on European Champetition Wink.

I'm agree what Eva says about Kris Smile And Sui-chan I see your point but I hope that all of them improve themseves Smile

It's another long post. But I'm just so happy that figure skating is on tv. Wink

It's the same he skated to last season Wink
Does someone have the classical version of "Nothing else matters" Stephen Carrier skated to??
I liked Volozovar/Morozov's new costumes a lot more than the ones I saw at NHT! :super:

@Sui-chan: I do agree with you..but is just the begining maybe they will became more good in time.
I'm worried with all this injuries so many in the last time.

Sad Tomas just the 4th. Sad Maybe he will have a better performance tomorrow!

Does somebody know what happend with the Zaretski's? Why they are on the 7th place after CD and OD?

I watched men SP a little bit. Kris was not so good, which is a pity. and poooor Tomas Sad I hope he'll show what he's able to do tomorrow. GO TOMAS! oh and I am more than glad to see him trying a quad in SP Very Happy
as for pairs, Tatiana & Stanislav did improve. that's good. still, I'm not their fan. and Zhangs have really great FS. very interesting transitions. and again.... the triple twist is just awesome! now I'm curious about new programms of Domnina/Shabalin and Khoklova/Novitzky Smile

I was watching the Ladies LP this morning and I really enjoyed it, especially seeing Susannah Poykio again, Ashley Wagner´s LP was great in choreography though her jumps are mostly cheated Razz Miki Ando was amazing too, but the top of the top was without a doubt Yu-Na Kim! AMAZING!!! cheers I´ve been her fan for two years now but she has really matured this season, she was spellbinding!

Kristoffer Berntsson rocked with his robot dance! And I really enjoyed Tomas' tango program, what a splendid show, it was a pity that he got a deduction for the fall, but I liked the program Sad

I got to watch a bit of the women's FP earlier today and it surprised me to see how amazing Ashley Wagner skated!

S. Carriere was super! He has great jumps! :jumping: Good job for him! clap Jeremy Abbot was incredible too and received a huge score! Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think that his score is the most greatest of these season. I also like the russian guy, Artem Borodulin. Congrats to the medal winners! :super:

Thanks Sheena,
I was only able to see the very last one Jeremy Abott! And he was so great!
My tape recorder didn´t record anything somehow. So i couldn´t watch the other ones Sad but WOW Jeremy skated on a high level at this competition. He imroved his SB with 11 points. ELEVEN! Wow!
He did almost all his combinations later in the program. Good for 10% extra on points. Smart guy! He's also very musical. I like him a lot!

Thanks Nina! That must have been a nice afternoon!

Thomas made the podium. I´m suprised. Well good for him Very Happy

Yay Jeremy!!! cheers I've been a fan of his since US Nationals a few years ago. He's always had the potential to be great, and I'm proud of him. Keep it up, Jeremy!!! Nationals is going to be very interesting this year...I haven't seen Stephen Carriere, Tomas, or Kris' LPs yet.

Congrats to all the medalists! Smile

I did like Jeremy's performance and I was amazed that his coach is so young...I guess has around 30 scratch (not more over 30 anyaway).
I'm happy for Tomas he got the third place(i wanted more but it's good enough for now).
Sad But I'm sad for Kris just the 8th place.

I just watched the FD and I still don't like Domnina/Shabalin, sorry...! Again I tried to be objective to see what people like about them, but for me it's just too much of everything. I can't see any emotions, everything seems kind of forced and artificial to me. I'd prefer Khokhlova/Novitski over them any time. Cappellini/Lanotte were lovely btw Wink

I admit, this weekend I was most curious to see Kristoffer's new LP. I love it - again it's creative and what an alternative to all this classical stuff and the flood of tangos this season :greensmilewink . Jumps were not secure, but knowing he had a hip surgery in April and started some "real" practice in August I'm just happy to see him back on the ice.

I'm not a fan of Oksana/Maxim for the same reasons Nina mentioned - there're strong technically but to me kind of emotionally limited.

So far the men's events have been the most unpredictable I guess. GPF will be full of new blood!
