today was the second event of the Nordic Tournament at ski jumping..and the winner is Takanobu Okabe - a real surprise fro everyone I guess. Who thought that he will win in front of Olli, Ammann or Schlieri. Schlieri was just the 10.

yesterday was the team competition at Vikersund(Norway). Austria won.
But Schlieri trying to break the record fall twice - first time he reached 213m at the second time 224m but because he fall the record belongs to Hari Olli who jumped 219m.
The both falls lookd awfull but Thank God he didn't het hurt!

I doubt if many of you have heard of this but the Irish rugby union team (made up with players from all Ireland) completed the Grand Slam on Saturday (beat France, England, Scotland & Wales in the annual 6 - formerly 5, Italy have joined in recent years - nations championships) for the first time since 1948 - 61 years ago!!!! white bunny :incass:

Needless to say the Guiness was flowing freely!!!........& the team got a huge welcome home to Dublin.....

You are not alone, Andi. That was the first news i saw in the morning when i switched on the computer. Too bad such things happen. Almost every third sports event is now connected with a tragedy.... Mourning players, mourning fans.... It is really, really, really sad...

the formula 1 season has began! cheers
and what a beginning...a new team arose from nowhere and won the first race.

1.Jenson Button
2.Rubens Barichello
3.Lewis Hamilton (Jarno Trulli - he was on the podium, but after the race we found out that he took over during the safety car session and had a penalty of 25 seconds)

it was a very interesting race with Vettel on the 2place till the end, but in the last laps, Kubica tried to overtake and they had an accident

there's a new machinery which gives supplimentary energy to the engine called, Kerrs lol!
yep, i'm always thinking of the Kerrs Very Happy and that stupid commentator said about 100 times who is using the Kerrs

as i said the race was a bit haotic...safety car was in 2 times ( first Nakajima looked at the wall closely)
Raikonnen visited the wall area too, commentators couldn't decide if it was a tehnical problem or a drivers fault
Massa started good, then his wheels had too high temperature, he changed them, then was in the middle, at the end he got better, he was even 3, than the car just stopped...
so it was a horrible race for the ferraris
Kovalainen was part of the first small accident in the first lap so he couldn't finish the race either

ladies, what do you think - whose fault it was - was it Kubica´s or Vettel´s? As i was watching it it seemed to me like Kubica blocked Vettel and that´s why they had the collision but they said that it was Vettel´s fault scratch

The first I thoght it was just a bad accident, but I'm not expert.
But when they said it's Vettle's fault I'm so sorry for Robert Sad

In the media - said that Kubica had a clear run at Vettel and tried to pass him around the outside of turn three. But the pair banged wheels, and both ripped off part of their front wings.

And later Vettel said it was his fault, so I think he knows better. Sad So I'm sorry for him too. One stiuped mistake and both of them (Kubica and Vettel) had a bad start grrrrrrrrrmur

Hamilton was disqualified, Trulli regains third place
McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton has been disqualified from last weekend’s Australian Grand Prix after a second stewards’ investigation on Thursday decided both he and his team had provided ‘misleading' evidence during a hearing held after the Melbourne race.

Hamilton crossed the finish line in Australia in fourth, but was subsequently promoted to third after Toyota’s Jarno Trulli was handed a 25-second time penalty for passing his McLaren under the safety car during the race’s closing laps.

Stewards, however, decided to reinvestigate the incident after fresh evidence came to light and convened a second meeting in Sepang. After the hearing, the stewards issued the following statement:

Adelina,

Romania couldn't qualify for WC 2010 with recap? It is possible other european country couldn't qualify and with this result Romania will be in for WC? Don't lose your hope because in football everything is possible. I'm cheering for better lucky for Romania.

Poland 10 - San Marino 0
but we lost 3 points with North Ireland, so the big winning with San Marino couldn't count in qualifi to WC.

hugs Thanks Iza!

We are on the 5th place after Serbia, France , Lituania and Austria. To be able to qualify we need to win all the games from now on and the others to lose everything! What's pretty impossible!

I've heard about the huge score between Poland and San Marino too, Katherine! Smile

Sometimes underdogs win, Adelina. It is always good to think positive, so don't give up for Romania team. Have you imagined that Argentina team could loss of 6 goals for Bolivia? So, wants is power, trust and twisted by your romanian team. cheers

Katherine, Poland is still how many games ahead to qualify for the world? Who are the next teams that Poland will compete?
