I'm eager to see a flawless Brian and a flawless Chan at the same competition, then see how judges will score them.

Go go go Mao Asada!

Mao overrotated the second jump in a combination and doubled the other one. otherwise she was great as usual. the other ladies must have skated brilliantly.
Chan's score is unbeliavably high. it's still so new. he hasn't got the 4T-3T combo and still he had higher score than Brian. it's all about the new scoring system I guess; when they need to be perfect in every element.
I was so shocked when I saw that Tessa/Scott are 2nd! I've never really thought that Davis/White have such a high level. worlds are definitely going to be interesting in every single category :greensmilewink

There are the news about Ice dancers.

http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090206&content_id=60969&vkey=ice_news

I'm sorry about Tessa&Scott. They won both CD and OD. But it didn't so in the end, it couldn't be enough for the gold :brak: I'm sorry...

This paragraph explains what the mistake was.

Quote :
Virtue and Moir tallied 94.51 points for their unconventional Pink Floyd program. A little bobble by Virtue in the middle of their combination spin could have cost them the win.

I haven't watched their FD yet, but I want to see this with my own eyes. And of course I wonder how Davis&White's FD was.

And anyway they just were 2nd, were not last. Smile cheering

By the way the World Championships is going to be very interesting and exciting as you said. :naughty15kz: cheering

Wow, I´m surprised as everyone of you here about the Men. However, not that much about the ice dance result. I mean Tessa & Scott are great, but I totally love Meryl&Charlie´s FD this year, plus the mistake from T&S, so not that surprising Smile Btw. did you notice that Tessa & Scott´s FD contains the same song by Pink Floyd which Isa & Oli skate to in their FD? affraid
Yes, the Worlds ARE going to be interesting indeed!

Thank you Gis and Sheena for the results.
Is the LP from the men today?

I wonder if Patrick Chan will get a high score on that as well.
88.90 unbelievable!!

Manon, the LP for the Men is today. I believe it starts in twenty minutes or so. I'll be watching live on Ice Network...hopefully the stream doesn't break up like it did at Nationals.

Irina, you are so funny! Count on me too for not stand the new canadian pet Chan. I prefer Lambiel hundred times than the new overscored Chan, at least S.L had some quads although Chan has a lot of judges on his pocket...

I've only watched Ladies FS on TV yesterday. ... I think ...Mao's performance wasn't good... It was the worst condition as I've ever seen... No I worried about relations of her and Tarasova... She wasn't there at that time... and I heard that rink's width was narrow than others... and 2010 Olympics are held with the same rink....so I think ...Brian had better to be used to a narrow rink...

No more Mrs Nice-guy...welcome back Mrs Meanie!!!!!

Young Mr Chan was receiving incredible marks, never even mind the PCSs, over the two programmes he received about 23.5 bonus marks in GOE on his technical marks - who needs quads when the judges love you that much? (& I do know he has excellent skating skills & transitions etc - but surely that is what PCSs are for!) - its going be interesting to see what happens at LA!

I was delighted to see how well Jeremy Ten skated - he made the 3axel in the LP & moved up to 7th.

I read that Mao was injured & missed some training last month - so that might account for her relatively poor performances. I think that I also read that they will be putting down a full sized rink for Olympics - I'll check & confirm this!

Somewhere I read that Tessa still feels such a big pain that she is crying after each practice session.

The question is if its worth to skate through pain one year before the Olympics...

Oh thank you Titi for this inform... Sad I'm so sorry for her. In my opinion they don't have to get tired so much, it can be caused worse things... :brak: They're just so young, there will be a lot of years in front of them in the future, but if they keep on getting tired so much now... It could be horrible Sad

I know Tessa had injury, and she makes a lot of effort to get ready again, so I'm so proud of Tessa !! hugs But she should take a rest more, I think. It's important to look at the future safely :brak:
