Merci Gis!!!

I'm agree with that, men should concentrate on jumps more than outfits Wink

I understand customes are important, but if they (men) can't do their programmes the custome doesn't help Wink

You had to read news in subject (news of Brian) for Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski who are the new choreographers of Brian currently in Poitiers

Vous avez dû lire la nouvelle dans le sujet (nouvelles de Brian ) pour Albena Denkova et Maxim Staviski qui sont les nouveaux chorégraphes de Brian actuellement à Poitiers

http://www.lanouvellerepublique.fr/dossiers/sport/index.php?res=3&spo=Z&num=1251258

After Laurent Depouilly who succeeded in Jean-Christophe Simond as coach in interseason, Brian Joubert develops muscles of his staff with two World champions for the choreography of his new long programme (Poitevin keeps short "Rise"). Having blest in the worldwide of Calgary (2006) and Goteborg (2007), the dancers Bulgarians Albena Denkova (31 years) and Maxim Staviski (34 years) left competition two years ago. They are since yesterday in Poitiers to create the free of Olympic season. «They have never made choreography, tells Joubert. It is a tournament for them as for us. It can be a disability because they have no experience. But it is first a superb advantage because they feel like becoming famous. I know that they are going to devote themselves, put themselves in 100 %. For them it is a super-opportunity. For me also.»
The European champion knows that he does not have the right to error in eight months of the appointment of Vancouver. «It is on, needs to gourer not. Especially the Olympic year. There was anxiety because during period it did not move. The time passed and they remained blocked. Now everything came back into order. It left. The musical choice is made. It does not remain more than to work.» Laurent Depouilly is confident. «It is not a choice by default. Albena and Maxim creative, very contemporary people in their approach of the choreography are. It can only help Brian to take a programme up to win.»
The seasonal beginning Joubert promises to be palpitating with the presentation of its new programme in the Masters of Orléans and the continuity of both Grand prixes in Bercy with Bompard, face perhaps in Verner or (and) Oda, and the Cut of Russia where he will find some Evgueni Plushenko. «Everything must be improved. But perfection does not exist. Then to me be to be professional, vigilant, on the alert so that the slightest worry does not last. The return of Plushenko reminds me of good memories. For me it is very interesting, rewarding, to be able to be once again confronted with him at the beginning of Olympic season. It is going to make me be in 100 % of entrance.»
Joubert and the team is ready to work very hard. From their arrival yesterday late in the afternoon, Denkova and Staviski took the temperature of the ice of Poitiers for first short and intense session."

Oh, boy! I hope Brian knows what he is doing with this. At this point I don't know whether to be glad or sad, LOL, but this is certainly an unexpected turn of events. In some ways I really think he's going out on a limb with this. Just the fact that this up-coming year is the Olympic one is, I think, what is making me antsy about all this. Shocked From what I've been reading Denkova and Staviski have next to no experience doing something like this. Yeah...I realize they skated some innovative programs when they were competing, but doing the skating of the programs and, actually, doing the choreography for someone else's programs is a completely different thing.

On the other hand, if they can produce an innovative program designed to maximize the points needed in the CoP juding, then, this might be the best thing that has ever happened to Brian. The problem is---we won't know for a while. We don't have anything to point back to that this new choreo team has done for other skaters. We probably won't know much until he gets some mileage on this new SP during the GP Series. Count me as officially nervous, LOL. Yipes! and the new season hasn't begun yet, LOL.

(I think we need a "nervous Nellie" smiley for the up-coming season; I think it would be used a lot, LOL

Hi everyone, I am afraid for Brian to have Maxim Staviski for his choreographer. Folks will remember that Mr Staviski was drunk when he crashed into a man and woman and the man died and the woman is still in a coma. I've read on other forums that feel Maxim did not do jail or prison time for this horrible crime. I am fearful that the judges will not judge Brian fairly because of who is his choreographer. What do all of you think? I myself wish that Brian chose someone who is well established as a choreographer.

Well.........Personally I had preferred that Maxim had gone to the jail many years. But I do not understand that relation can have with Brian's choreography.
I would be scared if Maxim was the teacher of driving of Brian. Laughing

But I do not believe that his accident influences the judges, and even if it could influence; also it would influence that they were world champions of dance.
The important thing is that they prepare a good LP and that Brian skates as him knows.

Brian is going to participate by being sponsor in a Relay of life in Noron towards Niort if I do not make a mistake.
The whole programme!
I translate that the part or Brian is named:

16 h, Departure of pedestrian 24 h of solidarity opened to all in the presence of the sponsor of this Relay for life, the skater Brian Joubert.
It is possible to walk or to run with his rhythm, only or team of relay.

Joubert calls in BulgaresVendredi June 5th, 2009 - 15:23

The Bulgarians Albena Denkova-Maxim Staviski, double World champions of ice dance (2006-07), crossed a week in Poitiers to choreograph the programme free from Brian Joubert.

The triple French European champion of figure skating, who wanted to work with the Russian Tatiana Tarassova, finally abandoned it because he thought she was too academic. On a much more modern music, but which remains still top-secret, he asked the ancient Bulgarian couple, blest World champion as him in 2007 in Tokyo, to choreograph his new free programme which he will present in the Games of Vancouver next February.

His new French coach, Laurent Depouilly, and his wife Nathalie, also coach of figure skating, had the idea of calling the Bulgarian couple (on the ice and in life), known for his creativity. Their career was interrupted because of a lethal accident of the road for which Staviski was responsible, along coastal region of the Black Sea, on August 5th, 2007, while he drove high-speed and in a state of intoxication advanced. He had killed a 23-year-old girl and had of it seriously injured other one, two other passengers being more slightly attained. He was condemned for it in two and a half years of prison with respite, in the final analysis, last May by the Supreme Court of Sofia.

At the end of this working week with Denkova-Staviski, at the rate of six-seven hours a day, Brian Joubert is on holiday until July when he will take back training in Courchevel. The Bulgarian couple will revise with him in August in Poitiers.

Afterwards Master s, first national competition of season 2009/2010, when he will introduce new free sound in September in Orléans, Joubert will participate in trophies Bompard in Paris (October 15-18), which opens this year the season of Grand prixes ISU, and NHK (November 5-Cool to Nagano (Japan).
