| Thanks for the link, Gislaine.
This is an interesting article but, especially so, because at the tail end of it, Albena and Maxim comment about what went wrong with Brian at the Olympics. In their estimation it was too much pressure on his psyche' coupled with the loss of training time after the injury to his foot. I would certainly agree with them on the stess point as I think that was the biggest factor in his devastating problems. His stress came from both whatever personal problems he's alluded to and the stress generated by the loss of training time due to the injury. For the latter one there isn't much he could have done about the loss of training time but the other could have be alleviated by the on-going consulation with a sports psychologist. When is Brian going to wake up and realize this?

| " " After Brian Joubert's disappointing performance in the Games, the Federation had to resume(take back) the hand. It is normal to make to him cross a test to decide on its participation in the next world championships. " (12/03/2010) Didier Gailhaguet, the president of the French Federation of the ice sports will attend on Monday in Bercy in the test which will see being in confrontation Alban Préaubert, Yannick Ponsero and the Inhabitant of Poitou for the last ticket leading to Turin. Now, it murmurs that Préaubert, taken by a company internship, cannot train correctly and that Ponsero is not enthusiastic at the idea of making this test. " According to me, Brian is 90 % of chances to go to Turin. But it is important to judge its physical and especially psychological state after the Games(Sets) to see if he wants to bounce ", he specifies. " http://www.lanouvellerepublique.fr/dossiers/journal/pdf/20100312/16932222_NR_86N.pdf
Yannick Ponsero does not intend to go to the tests because Brian is 90 % to go there! Many people are ironic this decision of the tests about PP, I do not think that Yannick is the foil of but all are pawns because the road of selection is not followed by the fédé ( my personal opinion). http://www.lanouvellerepublique.fr/dossiers/sport/index.php?res=3&spo=Z&num=1575815 _________________ Gislaine

| So has Yannick said he won't go to the test? I can understand him, it can be difficult to start training again... but will he be "punished" by the fede next season if he doesn't go? So now it looks like Brian will win the test. I'm getting excited!! |

| Yanncik would not like to particper in this test in comparison with Alban (he was put in front of him in Marseille and in Tallinn). He thinks that Brian will go - low (that he fails or not) I know in no way if he will be later "punished".
I gave my opinion on this test, lol!

| I would guess that if Yanncik doesn't want to do this test skate (and the FFSG wants him to do it) that, at some point, the French Fed will minister some kind of "punishment" on him. Considering how they've treated Brian I can't imagine that Yanncik will get off with no punishment. The FFSG has been exceedingly cruel in the past; they have no reason to change their ways, now. Not doing this test was not the best decision Yanncik could have made, IMO. I can understand his not wanting to be bothered with it but the consequences of not doing it may be more damaging than he anticipated.
