It is going to take place in my home town and I'm planning to go and see all SPs, because most of FSs are scheduled for Saturday, when I'm busy at another, no-skanting event.

I don't think so, even people in my city are not interested in that event and as far as I know even our local tv will not show this competition. But maybe there will be an international stream, you should check if you're willing to watch Wink

PostSubject: Re: JGP 2009   13.09.09 17:38

The event was really great, some of the skaters presented wonderful programmes and high-leveled technique skills. Japanese competitors just rocked, they won all single and pairs events leaving the rest far behind. Ice dancing gold was captured by Russians who performed stunning OD and FD (seen it only during practises, unfortunately), but there were no Japanese skaters at this field Razz
All in all I enjoyed the whole copempetition a lot, I think that the organisation was more than ok. Despite the skaters from our club, competitors and other stuff there were no viewers expect our small group of people from skating camps, but we had a great time together watching future stars Wink

Here you can check the results: http://www.isuresults.com/results/jgppol2009/

And here, my photos: http://soniszczak.fotosik.pl/albumy/683702.html

Eva, unfortunately I even do not know how this Czech couple looked like (shame on me), because I didn't see any of their progs. I didn't go to watch CD, as I'm not a big fan of it and I also couldn't come for FD. I was present only at the OD, but must have missed their prog, because I completely don't remember them.

Paige thanks for posting the vids, especially Ilinykh/Katsalapov with their FD routine, which I like a lot. They won in Toruń too Smile

In Toruń practise and SPs entries were free of charge, but for LPs and FD we had to buy a ticket which allowed us to see all finals. But it costed only 10 zlotych (about 2,5 €) so it was not a problem at all.

Here you can watch victory cermonies from Toruń (made by me, the quality is not so good):
