Oh Rina! Of course we didn't forget you! I've been in the hospital many times when I was seriously ill a few years, so I know how you feel. It definitely can be lonely, but as Iza said, we are with you in spirit. Please get better soon, and my thoughts are with you. hugs

Rina, we didnt forget you! Being in a hospital must be scary (I was just once, when I was 4 years old, for 3 weeks), but anytime you feel alone, the BJDG is here for you!

I understand your feelings about efforts in vain, which is hard to deal with, even more if you are used to the "Nr1" thing... I hope your heart problems are not serious and this illness will help you to think over your life, your plans, your habits etc. Sometimes its good to realize what is important and what is not, even if it hurts.

Thinking of you.....

rina, i could not forget you!!!
i am so sorry to hear about your problems. i hope you do get your health back and with it some clarity about what you wanna do from now on with your job and the rest of the problems.
i wish you all the best and please write us everytime you feel like it !!!

i was also missing a little. i was kind of busy lately. last weekend, actually starting from thursday , i was in bucharest because one of my best friends had her presentation to become a doctor in chemistry. it turned out to be a very emotional thing, with lots of people saying lots of nice things about her and with ehr being so happy after working so hard.

now i am back at my job and at my net connection !

Does anyone of you read the International Figure Skating magazine? (http://www.ifsmagazine.com/forum/ )
I'm just asking cause I was wondering if it's worth ordering it to Germany ...

I suscribe to it. As to whether you should go to the expense to get it in Germany depends on what you expect from a figure skating magazine. I don't know that there is that much difference in content between what is available on the website and the print edition. It does cover the international scene, to a large extent. I have no idea how long it takes to get it delivered to Europe, though, and that's something you need to consider, LOL. I would hate to suscribe to a mag and have the news and articles be three to four weeks old by the time it was delivered to me, LOL. Just saying....

I used to subscribe to it, I didn't like it that much & I prefer "Patinage". If the subscription is no problem, I would suggest you consider trying it for a year to see how it suits you?!

I subscribe to it as well and I love it. I also subscribe to Patinage, which is great. I used to get Blades on Ice as well, but I didnt like it that much.

Most of the articles in Patinage are translated into English, a few (sort of local French ones) are not. And the photos are superb!

Just a word about "Blades On Ice," it's not worth a subscription if your interests are in European skaters. BOI covers North American skaters, primarily, with a lot on American ones. If I were to drop either of those subscriptions, it would be BOI, lol, even though I'm American. The vast majority of American skaters don't interest me, other than what sort of threat they pose to the international skaters whom I follow.

I'm not like searching for pity or sympathy but I need to share this with people who understand Very Happy
I just had my very first figuer skating accident! I only skate since about a year and I'm usually more the carfeull, anxiuos type - and now that I start to be more confident, I have to pay the price Rolling Eyes I don't really know what happend, I only know that it happend during a three-turn at my "bad foot" and that I ended up wirth a laceration at my eyebrow pale
I kinda feel like I wanna go back on the ice immediately cause I don't want to run the risk of beeing overanxiuos in the next training (which will be next week). Well, maybe I find someone to accompany me for an extra training on Saturday Very Happy
Or I have to wear a helmet Cool

Stephanie....These things happen. hugs Put on your skates and get back out there on the ice. You are one of the many beginners who have scars, LOL. Look at it as a badge of accomplishment---overcoming your fear of figure skating injuries. The vast majority of figure skaters have lots of scars from their encounters with the ice or their blades. Now, you've joined their ranks. Razz
