This article has some eye-opening comments by Dick Pound, IOC member regarding what he thinks about the IJS. There are still a lot of skating fans who would readily agree with him.

oh, everytime i read this type of discussion i become sad.
i the search for the exclusion of subjectivity what they take out of figure skating is originality. figure skating is also about subjectivity and that is the beauty of it. what's bad is the bribes and somehow i think you can not really control bribing.

Of course they must destroy all beauty of that kind of sport, saing that.

In my opinion the Russian pair deserve more on Gold medal than canadian. And the whole story, when the federation giave the second gold medal (to canadian) was so ridiculous. And make olys Gold so cheap.

I'm sorry for the Elena Berezhnaya (RUS) because she had to go through that, when judges destroyed her most beautiful day. We had to opportunity to read her comment of that.
