Sunny....In this case the word, "error," is the correct usage. The word, "mistake," implies a misconcenption or misunderstanding of things pertaining to thinking or reasoning. "Error" is an act which unintentionally deviates from what is correct. Brian's screw-ups were acts; "error" fits this case. Also, the word, "error," carries a much stronger implication with it then does the word, "mistake."
