The only conclusion to which me and my mom arrived is that somebody's put an "evil eye" on him! I know it sounds stupid, but honestly - nobody can explain, not even himself, what happened there. Because as said above - he didn't seem that nervous to mess up THAT badly...

Brian can come back as the fighter he is and WE ARE HERE TO SUPPORT HIM!

We have always been and won't stop now! There must be a million of emotions going thorugh his head and heart right now.
I only want 3 things for him: HOPE, DETERMINATION and a bit of LUCK!

Strange but to me he didnt look so nervous. I have seen him more nervous many times. He seemed quite calm to me.

I just dont want to think about what will continue.... Its even worse than losing the Olympic dream.

Yeah, it was so strange...I really didn't believe it when my dad told me...I kept thinking: how could that have happened? He must have been so nervous or maybe ill or something!
But when I watched it, well, he seemed nervous, but THAT nervous...not really. He didn't seem that much more nervous than before the LP in Tallinn and that was an absolutely brilliant performance!
Yes, someone must have put a spell on him or something...

Brian was completly blank after his performance, he didn't even believe it himself that he skated.

I can just imagine the faces of people - other skater's fans who are reading this thought about "evil eye" and spells Very Happy Even if it is the only "logical"? explanation.

I JUST want Brian to forget everything... everything, to just focus on LP and to show us, show everybody in the world who real Brian is, what Brian can do if he just wants and focuses on. That's all I want him to do. And I believe with all my heart that he can do this.

Please Brian, don't say goodbye to Olympics without showing what you really can do.

Please, please, I just want to see real Brian.

You guys didnt really think he was that nervous? Im not judging, pls dont get me wrong, Im simply suprised. Cos in all honesty when I saw his face white as a ghost and the breathing and the amount of time he took to take his place, I just knew it was over. I was 100% certain it was gonna be very bad before he started to skate. I even started shaking, just when he was starting the programme doing the hip thrust.. I thought it was clear as day that the immensity of the situation has just sunk in with him shortly before he was called..

I agree with the ones of you who think Plush should win. I hate the guy and his skating, but those NA guys playing it as safe that they turned skating completely boring, and still receiving such ridiculously high scores drive me crazy. Having one of them win (one of them being Lysacek or more unlikely, Chan) would be totally against the Olympic spirit which, i think, is all about trying to be the very best you can be, about giving your heart & your soul for the olympic dream, not about playing it safe. And there's also the holy quad, i can't imagine an Olympic champion without it, it would be a huge step backwards. I'd like to see a podium with Plush first and on the other 2 steps Steph and Daisuke. We'll see tomorrow what happens.

Anyway, i don't really care about other skaters than Brian. Even if he messed up his chances to medal, it's still his performance that matters most to me and i'm still praying and hoping for a fantastic LP. I'm a little worried though that the punch he received straight into his face & into his heart will take him longer than 2 days to recover from. I'm sure he won't give up and eventually will fight back, but i can't help worrying about the LP. I'm cheering for him at the LP with all my heart anyway allezBrian allez

I don't know.... if there is one person who I think deserves a medal, besides BRIAN, (and even though it will be diffucult) then it should be Stephane Lambiel! He tried a quad today and hopefully he's going to try again in the LP! His artistic, transition, interpretation, spins everything is there! His jumps might not be 100% sometimes but if he can pull of the quad and some nice triples.... I would say: Well done Stephane!

You make a very good point. You see at night when we were wondering which of the two evils would be better on the podium, with a gold medal - Plush of Chan. I chose Cahn as I like some of his step sequences. But actually after a while and reading your comments I decided that Plush would be better for quad reasons. I have an enormous respect for those skaters who try to jump a quad and... it's just horrible what's happening right now. Guys from ISU MUST gather, talk the whole thing over and just do something about the gradual disappearance of the quad!! If they don't do anything I guess FS will go backwards as more and more guys will chose to play safe rather than risk. Dreadful.

About Brian - I hope he'll just fight for his lost pride. He has nothing to lose now, no pressure. I'm thinking about the promise he made to Titi "You will see this program clean. At the Olympics." And though he messed the SP up I believe that tomorrow we'll see something incredible.

And something about the other guys:
I absoluuuuuuuuutely adore Daisuke's SP! I fell in love with it from the first sight Very Happy It's just fabulous, I have this music in my mind all the time!
I also liked Johnny, it was funny when he was sending kisses Wink And I haave to mention Tomas...... It will be most strange to see him skate as the first one. As for Plush - he was waving his hands. Full stop.
I'd like to see a podium that Oana proposed, it would be fine. And of course I would love it if someone defeated Plush. But I guess we'll see more quads tomorrow. Daisuke is willing to try one, right?
And you know what? I just had a thought that now Brian may have a great come back at Worlds, just like in 2006. It would be a consolation to see him as a new World champion Wink

Manon, Stephane is the skater i like most after Brian, so i wouldn't mind him being on the podium at all. But as an olympic champion, i don't know, i think it's unlikely. As for the quad, skaters were already doing it 20 years ago, so dropping it would be like going over 20 years back. If figure skating should keep on going down this path, in 50 years from now triples might become a species threatened by extinction in skaters' programs among lots of doubles lol (sorry for picturing the future of figure skating in such an appocalyptic way, today i'm just incapable of the slightest trace of optimism Neutral )
