Brian should ditch D.G. that guy is way too much in Brian's head already! I mean it's nothing for brian to admit that me made some errors and ackted like an asshole. Brian worked hard enough, he's been living to the Olympics for four years. D.G. pushed him over the edge. That's it.
Quote :

I do not like this idea of the test skate, at all. Beneath it all (what DG and the French Fed won't say, publicly) is that they have lost all confidence in Brian to skate well enough to win at World's. Should Brian mess up in this test skate, for some reason (and considering his mental state, he could screw up) it will have a devastating effect on him. There is no good reason to put him through this drama.

I agree it might even be worser then the Olympics! this could deliver so much stress that Brian has a total burn out before Worlds. I mean hello it's almost the end of the season....

Quote :
I agree with all of you! And why doesn't his coach say anything? Usually the press asks questions from skaters' coaches but he is decided to be silent. I think he should defend Brian! He needs to take responsibility too.

Yes laurant has been awfuly quit! Even though people don't ask Laurant anything he could have atleast said something. Wasn't laurant also the one who was pointed out to be the new coach of Brian because D.G. said so?

Wow shocking news from Steph! I hope he will continue competiting, but during Euros I noticed that Steph was wearing a support bandage around his middle. And he was allways holding his hands on his back. I just hope that his back isn't causing any problems

I would imagine that the reason Laurent remains silent is because he wants to keep his job! If he enters this fray he will be open to the wrath of DG. If Laurent wants to continue to work with French skaters, the last thing he wants to do, is piss off the French Fed, lol. Besides, I would think that Laurent, as a lot of coaches are, is afraid to say anything to DG. Gailhaguet is off the deep end at the moment, slinging stinging barbs right and left. There is no telling how much more vicious he could become or what other actions he could take. None of the other coaches will wish to get a dose of DG's ire. It is not wise to throw gasoline on a fire, lol.

I am not worried, I trust to Brian!
Indeed on that at the moment he has to "suffer", it relaxs and he goes to see with his coach the continuation for Turin!
Laurent declared that the disappointing performances of 2002, 2006 "did not heal" and when Brian fell and indeed he thought of that and the other thing !I know in no way if Laurent will stay with Brian for years to come because DG wishes that that changes and there I am septic!

I think Brian isn't under too big an influence of Didier. He's a very reasonable guy and e.g. when in the past Didier was criticising Brian, he didn't take it too seriously. I think that if now he says such things it's not just because Didier implies these but that there may be something to it. I can't jugde Brian but even by looking at the K&Cs you can see he is different from the Worlds 2007 one. He does look more tense and nervous as he describes himself. I just believe that Brian has endured too much criticism to humbly admit to something that wouldn't be (at least partly) true.

On the case of Brian Joubert, notably, Fabien Canu "is not completely surprised that he misses", and check off a lack of training. But, he says, the failure of Joubert it is also "the failure of the federal system of ice sport"...

It's senseless to talk about Fede changes-as Brian is a big patriot,it's reasonable to talk about changes INTO the FRENCH FEDE Wink When are the next president elections,Gis?

I think that it is in June but I am going to enquire Nastusha!
Frankly, responsibilities are shared between the fédé, Brian, the coach etc....
Now, it is a sacred reappraisal of everybody, see what goes, e why of how!
I support Brian thoroughly though he arrives!

The chances that someone will come forward to challenge DG for the leadership post of the French Fed depends on whether there is a person within the Federation who has sufficient political backing to win over him. Gis, have there been any rumors of someone who might try to campaign against him?

Whether or not DG wins another term as president of the FFSG, the problem will still exist that DG is a mentor to Brian, and that is the real issue, here. Until there is some sort of forced separation between them---some reason that Brian no longer has faith in him---Brian will continue to seek his guidance and be at risk.
