Ugh! What is it with Morozov and hip thrusts this season? Seems like he sticks them in every program. And not just the "sideway" thrusts, which I don't like because they are tacky, but the real lewd "forward" thrusts. And crotch grabbing. C'me on, people. This is worse than any overly sequined costume as far as the image of the sport.
Rant off.

I liked Florent's new SP. Don't mind that he is using same or similar music to Brian because their styles are so different I am sure the programs wouldn't be anything alike (which is kind of interesting). The first minute or so, till he's finished with his jumps, is very empty (it's not so bad when one's powering down the rink and gets it done in 40 seconds but when he takes a full minute it is a bit too much), but the second part is kicka$$. That said, the LP didn't do anything for me. It looked like a joke, really.

I am also underwhelmed with Javier's SP. Had Morozoav done any good programs lately?

Has this been posted Takahashi's SP? I hate this program. Who choreographed it? Not Lambiel, I'm sure. It was everything that I hated about Dai's famous Techno-Swan SP. Over the top flailing and head tossing, "I'm so sexy" moves, and God, I hope he gets rid of the costume. It's every bit as tacky as Brain's old Rise costume.

I can't wait for the season to start, I was glued to my PC reading PBPs of obscure skaters who scored a 80 points LP at Nebelhorn, but if this is what we have waiting for us... Am not happy.

3.5 more days till Masters. Please, Brian, show us something good.

well I have the same thoughts but I think the programs will get better. It's the first time they perform them and all the athletes need to improve and also we liked the previous programs so it's difficult for us to accept the new ones. I remember myself last year when I saw Brian's new LP and I couldn't say that I was impressed with it but in the end of the season I was like 'wow! great program!'. So I hope soon I will like the programs more...

Oh, not all is bleak (I meant to say black but then I remembered all the black costumes). I found what I belive to be Kozuka's SP and it was just right - clean lines, nothing over the top, lovely, effortless jumps, especially the Axle. I really love this guy. And what beautiful camel spins...

adam's flow on the ice is indeed wonderful but what's up with the double jumps all over the place? i hope he turns the double into triples and maybe get some better combos and i think i might like him too.
for some reason every time i see any skater using Rachmaninoff ( it doesn't matter if they use different concerts ) i feel the need to go rewatch for the 1000th time alexander abt's 2002 lp at the europeans. why can't figure skating be like that again?
if i see one more time a skater do the kick with the leg during the step sequence i am gonna spork my eyes out and sent them to the federation in sign of protest.
i wanna go back in time, now. now i say 4197610

i think i might be a little nervous about this year's programs. already to many tangos for my taste. already to much overused music.
i want some excitement. i demand it !!! come on boys, you can do it , glue me to my seat again !

Doubles??? I just rewatched it, and imo the jumps were: 3a/2t, 2a, 3lz, 3a, 3f/3t, 3lz/2t/2l, 3l, 3s
Plus, a couple of jumps were executed with both arms in the air to add difficulty.
Maybe the first combo is supposed to be 3a/3t, but apart from that it was a pretty decent performance i think
