Just a little poll :

For those who have ice skates, which brand and model do you have ? Do you like them or are you thinking about a new brand or model ?

I have Risport skates, no idea what the model is, I always liked them & have no plans to replace them as I don't actually skate any more - no time with work!

I have Botas skates (Botas is a Czech company), model - Laura. I like them, they're comfy and absolutely enough suitable for my poor skating skills. I'm not planning to buy any new skates, as I don't skate that much now (I've switched to roller skating).

I have Jacksons, I think the second highest model available. I like them because of the width in the front which gives my toes and wide front of my feet a pretty good fit. I had to get custom width, wider in the front and narrow in the heel. Some brands are too narrow on my feet.

I have Wifa deluxe skatec. There is only one store with figure skates in my country so I didn't have many choices. Basically I wanted Risport (since Brian has risport and generally are great quality) but they only had one model and it was the lowest model I think because they were cheap for skates. So I bought wifa, it was the most expensive pair they had and it's for double jumps the highest. I have used them about 10 times. I think they are comfortable but still they're new and my legs hurt when I leave the ice rink. I'm still trying to get use of them.

p.s BTW yesterday I had my second lesson of figure skating and I can tell you; I'M SO EXCITED AND HAPPY!!!!!! I can do forward crossovers!

I actually have Risport Antea which I bought when I was a student but they are very cheap, too soft and hurts my feet too much.

Now I started lessons, I need more stiff boots, so I bought Wifa Skatec Deluxe. I'm currently waiting for them !

For Wifa are ok. I think you will like it. Since they are my first skates I'm in love with them
