Ah ok, thanks for explaining!
Still...it's glittery Mad Laughing

A glitter cross did Lysacek no harm, and his was much more glittery and prominent! Very Happy

The costume wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be, though it looks like Brian’s there for a gala. Actually, the whole thing looks like David Wilson was choreographing for an ATS show. If Brian wants to get good PCS, he needs to seriously de-EX it. And for crying out loud, no 4S! He hasn’t landed one in competition in years; worse, he hasn’t rotated one in years. It’ll be a stupid distraction. He needs to sort himself out with the 3lz, or to get a 4F...

As for the speed issue some have remarked upon, it may be because it’s a hand-held camera; I’ve noticed that skaters tend to look slower when it’s not a professional broadcast.

Besame micho, puis samba !
4Sde grandes ambitions, de belles réussites, des éléments qui passeront avec la préparation physique. Le premier triple Lutz était extraordinaire de légèreté.

Florent made a lot of errors, I think that its artistic sense told difference!
Morality, Brian is going to have to take back his two programmes for transitions etc..

Florent a fait beaucoup d'erreurs , je pense que son sens artistique a fait la différence!
Moralité , Brian va devoir reprendre ses deux programmes pour les transitions etc ..

It's a point to think over for Brian, that Florent won with the difference in 21 points.

I'm not sure if Florent should win this competition because of these mistakes.
He had fall down on quadruple Salchow, did triple Axel and only single Toeloop in combination, made mistakes on landing in triple Loop and triple Flip.

I'm sad Sad because I thought that Brian will be the best in French Masters.
It's not good beginning of this season for Brian and if he won't improve his form, it will be very difficult to win next competition like Cup of China.

Brian had no combos, doubled two jumps and for some reason did most of his jumping passes in the first half. So the base value was very low. Florent's mistakes were on execution, his base value was decent - so there's most of the difference. Brian's PCS kind of makes sense for a performance that was pretty sloppy; it's Florent's PCS that's bizarre. Considering how bad the Besame Mucho LP is, and how poorly received it was at the JO, I would like to know what the judges at the Masters were smoking (this is more or less how I feel about Florent's take on Besame Mucho).

If the FFSG thinks that Florent can succeed internationally with that program, I suspect they are in for a very rude awakening. Florent skates first in the GP season, in just two weeks' time, and he's got Brezina and Kozuka to contend with - also Ricky Dornbush, who 1. finished just behind the French guys at 2011 Worlds 2. now has a quad 3. had the good sense to pick Morricone music for his LP and 4. finished ahead of Patrick Chan at Golden West, where Chan's TES was about as good as Brian's was today. If Lysacek does not show up, I expect the USFS to really push Dornbush at SA. So we'll soon see how things go both on the ice and politically.

Based on his track record, I know better than to expect Brian to show up in good form at the Masters. But I have to wonder if his health issues - the back problems and last season's knee injury - are more serious than he's let on. That's probably something we'll find out soon, too.

a nice consideration: Brian said that in the short program is fallen in the 3F because he was distracted by the happiness he felt for the combo and the axel Very Happy http://www.passion-patinage.com/?p=2175

Quote :

Exactly what they've always been smoking. Their own awesomeness. lol The judges are going to do what the judges are going to do. Hopefully Brian knows this but I hope the fans have caught on to the fact that there is little Brian or anyone can do to actually win. We know most of the placements are decided ahead of time. Figure skating has always been this way. The PCS scores just make it easier to hide to the untrained eye, but even more ridiculous to those of us who actually read the protocols.

I haven't seen the performances but I saw Florent's freaky jungle thing the other day. His own fans hated it, and yet he wins. Florent and everyone on the right side of 25 are going to be propped up. I'm curious to see what happens to Plushenko when he competes. But it's going to be nearly impossible for the olders guys to get any fair play from the judges. Unless for some reason their younger counterpart is injured, or incompetent, and their federation starts pulling for them instead. The entire last season was a textbook case of rigging. I don't know why anyone expects anything different at this point.

Sigh....I'm not accepting this, his, latest excuse. Brian has way too much experience to resort to such a lame comment. He'll have to do better than that in the excuse department.

I've seen the YouTube video of this SP and, frankly, I'm not at all impressed with it. He is capable of so much better. I do hope he continues to work on it and improve it before the GP Series begins. As it stands, now, it doesn't have a whole lot of content to it that will produce top of the line scores from a judging panel.

Brian, you have to concentrate upon a competition - from the first element up to the last one!!

I wonder why he had no combos and two double jumps in his LP. scratch Hope he doesn't feel pain. One thing is certain today: he has to improve a lot for the next competitions - otherwise... No
