I don't think Brian has a chance to medal anymore.
It is terrible to witness this and him torturing himself with these constant disappointments. This doesn't do any good for his confidence and feelings. This is a cycle that needs to stop.

Last season, the problems that he had with the opening quad, never were because of the choreography. The same problems continue. Now everything was done to help him to get through a clean program - comfortable music, choreo and he even had great practices. Once again I am so sad!

Brian and his nerves... How disappointed he looked after SD

oh... Always the same... Brian can't be only champion of practise He is so strong, but during performance at championships something is wrong! not with body but with brain. And what is the worst he knows it and he can't fight with this problem i dont know what's going on. I'm so sorry, I love him, he's my favourite sportsman and i will always belive in him.
But i would like to understand this strange thing that for long time he isn't able to fight...

Brian didn't understand himself what happened with the short.. He said, in the K&C : " I was serious, I worked a lot and this is useless" Veronique answered : "If it was the same during the training I will understand, but this is not the case"

Watching Brians competitions is always nerveracking. So I prepared for the worst...But still hoped for the best!!!!

What to say, don´t know either what is really wrong. Trying to figure it put...but just can´t.

Mit, indeed, Brian crossed all his jumps in the trainings!!! I Hope that he is going to regain self-control for the free!!

After reading all your reports I'm glad I didn't watch any of this happen. What the heck is going on with Brian?!!! It's starting to appear that he has a performance/competition phobia. He is in critical need of a sports psychologist. I know he's said he has no confidence in psychologists... but.... this is beyond ridiculous, now, and this badly needs to be addressed and solved, once and for all.

It appears that his chances to medal in this competition are long gone. He might as well go out and do the FP and have fun with it. It's the only thing he has left.

Well, I had a brandy right after Brian skated, and then a second and now a third, and then a cup of tea for not getting drunk...and I'm feeling sad and disappointed but not surprised. I know Brian has a problem with his nerves, and I know Plushenko is quite arrogant, but his arrogance is exactly the main thing what him made a winner over all these years. Why he should jump a quad if it is not necessary in this competition? Maybe he had the right presentiment...I don't know what to say right now, maybe later...
