Can Japan compete with no pairs team? Or will they announce them later?

Yes,team Japan will participate without a pair team because Narumi takahashi has just gotten her new partner Ryuichi Kihara, and they are not ready to compete yet. They train under Jason Dungjen in DSC.

I deleted information, indeed it is not official, I read it on the facebook page of lmdj which announced it with "announced and he had the acronym of the fédé, it is the reason of my partage.

Je supprime l'info , en effet ce n'est pas officiel , je l'ai lu sur la page facebook de lmdj qui l'annonçait avec "communiqué et il avait le sigle de la fédé ,c'est la raison de mon partage.

Is this official? I can't find anything on the FFSG website.

If it is, interesting - France looks to be the only country sending the strongest possible team to Tokyo. If everyone is in good form, they could finish on the podium, which would be a signal for the Sochi team event.

I hope this means that P/B will be fully prepared; another loss to B/S would be a disaster.

Wow, I didn't expect Amodio and P/B. It's great that they are sending such a strong team! Danseuse01 But on the otherhand, they have announced also the replacements (IIRC, no else Team has) so they could pull out in a last minute. So I'm not sure about this yet. Suspect

But I'm looking forward to this competition, it's such a fun one and Team France is always so entertaining in the K&C Laughing

Yulie, isn't Russia also sending their strongest team possible?

Technically no, but I guess it depends on how one views the Russian men. It is the first time that they're sending something close to their best team, though - last year they certainly didn't.

They'll never be as fun as Team France, of course. Only Team Italy, which sadly did not make it this year, is in the same league.

Sorry for the not-technically-related question. But, I've read somewhere over the internet that next year the format will change. That there only will be two single skaters per team instead of 4, and that the number of countries will be 10. Already official or just rumours?

That's the Olympic team event, it's a different format than the regular WTT. No idea whether the WTT will also change the format in the future.

Florent's out. This means that Ponsart is going and Team France has probably lost whatever chance it had of a podium finish. But I'm sure it'll still be a fun experience for everyone and I hope whatever's wrong with Florent isn't too serious. Smile

ETA: it's been reported that Bobroba/Soloviev are also out.

The French team has been decimated, but I'm sure they will still give a good account of themselves!
