So incredibly happy for Brian!!! What a fight waits us tomorrow. The 3rd place can be won by anyone from 3rd to 12th position now.

What an incredible night. Liebers totally deserved final flight. I would have Fernandez behind Brian, seeing as he somewhat messed all his jumping passes but his PCS are already set in stone.

If only Brian had a level 3 step sequence he would have been fourth. Still, 7th by a point is not bad for an old man in his last competition.

So sad for Plushenko. Hated his skating for a long time but he has proved himself the ultimate competitor and a great chanpion.

I am so torn. Can't wait for tomorrow night and also don't want it to come, knowing this will be Brian's last program. Please let him make top 5 and the gala (I don;t dare even think the m-word, for fear of the jinx).

Lonnie

I want Brian to win the Bronze so badly, he has such a good chance, and YES Brian should have been in 3rd place! It is going to be his final competitive skate, he is going to give it everything he has, there is less than 2 pts from the bronze, he can do this!!!! HE has too!!!

Or, maybe he is due one himself? (such as more generous GOE & PCS from the judges!!)

Pretty ok draw, gets a full warm up, not too long a wait & skates on fairly clean ice.

I'm super happy for Brian. He looked very tense in the warm up and I was expecting the worst. But finally he made it!!!  A clean program!  Smile I would have also wanted to see a higher score, but whatever.

I'm very sad that tomorrow is the last day we'll see Brian competing. It's probably also the last time I'm going to see him on TV. So, so sad. Sad

I want to thank you all for sharing this great fandom and all these ups and downs that Brian has offered us during his amazing career.  hug

edit: I would like to know what DG thinks now!  Twisted Evil

Malgosia, this is exactly what I'm thinking now! But despite of that I can go to bed very relieved, because Brian did well today, and I'm happy and proud of him!

I'm so happy and proud of Brian! I think many people thought that he should have scored higher -- the British feed I was watching thought he should've scored into the 90s, and Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski, and Johnny Weir in the NBC broadcast thought that he was a highlight and should've scored higher as well.

The scores are really close though. The funny thing is that Brian actually scored a little bit higher on the PCS than Jason Brown, who is known for his PCS, and Jason, despite not having a quad, scored just a bit higher on the technical mark than Brian. Still, overall it's practically a tie between 3rd place and 9th place right now, and anything can happen in the free skate.

All I want is for Brian to do a free skate that he can be proud of for himself and to have a satisfying last performance. I'm so glad that the Olympics are in Russia, where he has lots of fans to cheer him on.

Aw, this was really lovely. Glad to hear that LMDJ received so many touching letters from all over the world. Hope Brian has a chance to read them all once this is over.

I can't believe he managed to do such a performance!!! He seemed very nervous before he starts and I didn't have great hopes but still he did what he knows well; he surprised one more time! Very Happy I 'm happy to read in the interviews that he doesn't think about the medals because that could distract him. He should remain on the most important; to enjoy his last skate! Good levels at the spins didn't think he would achieve that. If only he had level 3 at the StSeq... Good to see him smile on olympic ice after the memories in Vancouver

Credits to Yuzuru for his great record skate, to Jeremy for being able to continue like this after that fall (seemed very painful)

I wish Tomas, Kevin, Amodio had better performances...
For Plushenko I don't know what to say. Shame for him to end his career with WD but I feel bad for Kovtun. He lost a chance to compete in Olympics not that fairly...

For today I have only this;  allezBrian
