So I've been taking hockey skating lessons for the past few months. So far I've completed Hockey 1 and Hockey 2

http://www.usfigureskating.org/Programs.asp?id=120

I've started Hockey 3 at a different rink. It feels like Hockey 5 instead affraid . Me and 5 large men who all came equipped with sticks pale . But once we started the lessons, we learned that most of them need to unlearn bad technique. And while I still feel (really) uncomfortable doing T-stops, crossovers and outside edges, I still can do most of those moves better than the other students because of my figure skating experience Wink .

Our instructor is demanding and has high expectations. It made me wonder if I was assigned to the wrong class. But it is the only adult hockey class available, so...at least the instructor wears hockey skates, unlike the previous instructors.

I looked up his name online to see if he ever played hockey professionally. I don't know for sure, but he was a high level figure skater until a few years ago! :sotr_th43: . He represented Kazakhstan

If you find photos of him (a search in Russian might yield more results), let me know.
