I confess that I pronounce his forename English way.

J'avoue que je prononce son prénom façon anglaise .

Me too...but at the TEB all the French people yelled "allez brian", with the second syllable of his name pronounced as the French word "en". So, I was wondering what he himself preferred. Thanks for answering my other questions as well...and thanks for the welcome of course! Very Happy

Selon son livre il préfère brille-ANE enfin c'est comme ça que sa maman prononce son prénom. Moi je le prononce comme en anglais.

According to his book, he prefers "brille-ANE" or at least that's how his mother pronounces his first name. Me, I pronounce it the English way.

Patricia ,il ya plusieurs phrases que tu peux dire ..

Une photo svp ,c'est direct ,lol mais polie .

Puis je avoir une photo avec toi ou vous ( j'avoue que je tutoie Brian , le privilège de l'âge tire la langue ,ça ne l'offusque pas ,lol) je ne tutoierai pas sa maman par contre ..

Patricia, him ya several sentences which you can say.. A photo svp, it is direct, lol but polished. Then me to have a photo with you or you (I confess that I am on familiar with Brian, with the privilege of age, this does not offend it, lol) I will not be on familiar with his mom on the contrary..

In the hotel lobby at TEB I was briefly standing beside Mme Joubert & said "oh madam, comment ca va", I hope she didn't think I was being familiar - but my French deserted me totally & it was all I could find to say.....she did shake hands, so maybe she wasn't offended. Embarassed

Sheena, madame Joubert was not offended, she had to hear your accent also, does not worry you (indeed it is a bit familiar but it's all right) she t' shaken the hand therefore ca been, lol!

Sheena , Madame Joubert n' a pas été offensée ,elle a dû entendre aussi ton accent ,ne t'inquiète pas ( en effet c'est un peu familier mais ce n'est pas grave ) elle t' serré la main donc ca été ,lol!
