It could be 'the costumes you wish you could forget' lol!

My choice is:

Brian's costumes from 2004/2005 season
Daft Pank (all of them)

- and last but not least -

Bat Wing lol! (During warm-ups, I still need some time to recognize Brian in all those rhinestones, curls, frills and transparent pieces of fabric)

PostSubject: Re: Programmes you will never forget   10.03.07 1:48

I liked very much :

- ALL the SP, FD of Plushenko until 2005, and especially the 2003 Free Program
- All the SP of Brian Joubert (especially "Time") - Lord of the Dance (he was not lucky with this program, I know, but...)
- "Dartagnan" Candeloro one of the most "outstanding" program I have seen
- "Le Parrain" (GodFather) by Candeloro (I didn't like so much "Godfather" by Plushenko)
- most of the programs of Frederic Dambier (especially Romeo and Juliet and the Carmina Burana)
- the FD that Stanick Jeannette prepared for ??? (Brasilian music, if I don't make a mistake...)
- SP Tomas Verner of this year
- the FD and SP Yannick Ponsero 2007
- Carmina Burana by Paul Wily (outstanding too)
- SP Alban Preaubert in Lyon (waouh...)

Dance :
- Carmina Burana by Marina and Gwendal
- The OD (flamenco) Marina and Gwendal in SLC
- Alexander Zhulin and his partner (I don't remember her name) : 4's seasons
- "The twins" by the Duschenay
- The FD Grushina/Goncharov 2006

Pairs :

- All the programs of Sue Shen and Hongbo Zhao
- The FD berezhnaia/Sikularidze in SLC 2002
- Charlie Chaplin by berezhnaia/Sikularidze
- The SP (french cancan) and LP Atbibol/Bernadis in 2002

I have forgotten a lot of programs. Escuse me, I see that there are too much french skaters among my favorite programs... hide8up
But I must go to bed ! Have a good night !

My most thrilling 'live' programmes (excluding Brian) in no special order:-

1) Natalia & Artur (FS) Worlds 1991*
2) Alexei Yagudin (FS) Euros 2001*, (SP) Euros 2002, (SP & FS) SC 2001, (FS) Euros 1999
3) Alexei Urmanov (SP) Euros 1999*, (FS) Euros 1997, (SP) Worlds 1996
4) Oksana & Evgeny (FD) Euros 1994
5) Kevin (FS) Euros 2007
6) Kerrs (FD) Euros 2004, 2006 & 2007
7) Elena & Anton - Charlie Chaplin, almost everything!
8 )Marina & Gwendal - Romeo & Juliet, MITIM
9) Neil Wilson - Worlds 1996, my local skater at Worlds for the 1st time! He was the original male 'super-spinner'.
10) Oksana Bauil (SP) Euros 1994
11) Albena & Maxim (OD) 2003 (I think - memories of a grand ball), I love to see them skate - inventive, daring & the 'bestest' edges ever!
12) Chen Lu - Worlds 1995 & 1996

My list is quite long (how lucky I have been to see them!), * means especially outstanding.

Other great performances from tv/tapes:-

1) Natalia & Artur (FS) Olympics 1994, Worlds (FS) 1992
2) Alexei Y (FS) Worlds 1999, (SP & FS) SLC 2002
3) Alexei U (FS) Euros 1995, (SP & FS) Olympics 1994
4) Kevin - both his Olympic free skates have been terrific
5) Maria B (SP & FS) Worlds 1999 - her time had come
6) Tanya & Max (SP & FS) Olymics 2004, they had been consistently excellent for several years
7) Shizuka (FS) Olympics 2004
8 )Duchenay's Jungle dance (1989 I think) & Missing (1990)

As I remember others, I will add them.

mine:
1-"Aranjuez" from Michelle at 2003 Worlds fs, my tears just automatically fell down while watching it.

2-"Somewhere in Time" FD from Marie and Patrice, it's speechless. and I became a big fan of John Barry.

3-everything from Isa and Oli, probably because they're always beautiful and never rewarded by a world medal... Sad

4-"Turandot" from Shen/Zhao at 2003 Worlds - could ANYBODY not love it??? though I'm not a big fan of pairs.

5-"Carmen" from Evan - I'm not saying it's a so good program, but it reminds me how much I love this guy.

Hm, the ones 'll always remember will be:

- Man In The Iron Mask, Olympics 2002, Yagudin
- Savchenko/ Szolkovy- The Mission, Europeans 2007
- Shen/ Zhao- The Nutcracker- Worlds 2004
- "der kleine Däumling"- Stefan Lindemann LP 2004 Worlds
- The Feeling Begins- Michelle Kwan SP at US Nationals in 2003 (or 2004 not sure)
- Jamie Sele, David Pelletier- Love Story, Olympics 2002
- Slutskaya Wonderland/ Whisper from the mirror
- Fumie Suguri- Sanctus- Exibition
- Shen/ Zhao- Turandot
- Torvill/ Dean- Bolero (yeah, I know, the classical!)
- Carmen- Kati Witt, it does have a lot of drama!
- Carmen- Plushenko- also a lot of drama and I liked it, though I never liked the guy himself... but he skates brilliantly

those are the most important ones, I guess.

And I know, we are not supposed to list Brians programs, but Matrix and Don't give up just belong in my personal top five, can't help it^^

I absolute love every LP from the mentioned Skater but especially

Philippe Candeloro

LP D`Artagnan - Olympia 98
LP The Godfather Part I
LP Lucky Luke - WM Edmonton 96
LP The Godfather Part II - WM Birmingham 95

Alexei Yagudin

SP Winter - of course Olympia 2002
LP The man with the iron mask - Olympia 2002
SP Nutrocker
LP Gladiator
Memorial
Overcome

Stephane Lambiel
Magic Stradivarius - EM 2003
Romeo and Julia

Kurt Browning

Clown Nomber

Anissina Peizerat

Carmina Burana
Last night of Bethoven - especially the one time Gwendal fall down 10 seconds before the programm was finished (at the european championships I believe) I was so shocked and sad.
Dance mon Esmeralda
The man in the iron mask
Flamenco

Denkova Staviski

LP Handel - WM 2004
LP Adagio - WM 2006
One Programm they had such incredible footsteps and were so close together and I know I loved it but I don´t know the name or which year it was. It was when Anissina and Pezeirat still were Amateurs and they were third or fourth in the competition. I search it for years now but can´t find it anymore.
