Katherine....I'm sorry that you're having all this difficulty. Unfortunately I don't know how to help you fix it. I guess you'll have to wait until Gislaine logs on to the board and sees your question.

It may be an issue with your computer, only, because I'm having no difficulty seeing your avatar or that of other members. If it were a "bug" involving the board I would expect that I wouldn't be able to see the avatars either.

hmmm I'm going to try to upload an avatar picture. If it doesn't work I will post a reply in this topic.

It took my 5 seconds to find out that I can't upload a picture. The search button below the avatar picture has been removed.
You can only use the gallary to upload an avatar picture.

Maybe the reason for this is also the reason why I can't upload any picture to my signature ...

scratch I have just noted that there are no more avatars or as signatures and even from smileys who does not appear any more.
Argh, I am going to prove on the forum of support of what takes place.
I think that their last update (they migrated some forums on another server of which BJDG)) is at issue.

FA re-changed contractor because they did not find solution for the bug and they again "migrated " forum on the new servers, there was bugs but they have di that this problem there were solved but I have just posted that as well no as from other admins..

I was obliged to delay all missing smileys, you are going to have to delay all your mishaps and signatures. He also seems to me for all albums of the gallery.
All this is due to the change of contractor and of the server of these last days.
I am really upset of all this disadvantage!

Gis, I have a question;
On the main page down below you can see which members are online and if there are also quests. There is also a third option 'hidden' how is that possible?

Manon ,I can configurer what is online, there we see simply that the members who are connected during the day. I would be also possible to put what is line for the members to link in the course of 24 hours.
Option to hide? you speak about invisible members? If it is it it is the choice of the members who want to be connected without others knowing it or they so want to be alone Admins sees them, modos also if the admin gives the permission here modos does not see if I remember well.! lol! The members choissisent this option in their profiles!
On the contrary I did not understand " quests".

Thanks Gis, I think I know what you mean.

The quests are the persons who are viewing this forum, but aren't a member yet.

Manon....You are correct. "Guests" are visitors who are not members. Many of them never intend to become members; they are here only to lurk and to gain what ever information they can find. As Gis explained, those who are "hidden" have selected a choice in the set up of their profiles which does not show their online status to be viewed by the general membership. However, Gis, any administrators, and the moderators can see the names of those members.

PostSubject: Re: question?   07.11.09 18:06

Has anybody else notiiced this phenomenon? When you make a post to one of the thread topics, your post doesn't show up after the thread automatically refreshes after you've sent it. Yet, when you choose the index for that section of the form, the last post indicator shows that you did make the post. This strange occurance has been happening to me since early yesterday. I don't know if it's simply a bug isolated to our board or if its a bug in the operating software.

Several times, over the last two days when I've had a just few minutes to check on the board, I've also run into this. It's happened when I've tried to view whomever made the last post to a thread. That page has opened but the poster, who was shown on to have posted as be the index on the previous page, didn't show up; the person prior to them did, instead.

I hope I'm making myself clear on this, LOL. It's a rather complicated issue and difficult to describe so that it will translate well for Gis.

PostSubject: Re: question?   07.11.09 22:10

Ooops! LOL Sorry, Gislaine. I kind of thought what I said would not translate well. grrrrrrrrrmur

Let me say that all, differently.
Over that past day or so, when I've posted to various threads, the posts I've made don't show up, immediately, on the board when the thread comes up again after it automatically. This is after I've sent the post and after the post makes it to the board and is posted in the whatever thread I put it in. Then, when I refresh the forum and the opening index page appears (the first page you see when you log on), it clearly shows that I the post I made is really here. However, when I open that thread to check on it, it's not there. What does show up is the last post of the person who posted right before I did.

I've had this same thing happen when viewing the posts of others. The main page shows that they've posted to a thread but when I select that thread and it opens, their post (the last post made) isn't visable.

This is not an issue with my computer; believe me, I've already checked that one out, LOL. This strange event only happens at the BJDG forum. I guess this situation might be referred to as disappearing posts. Then, when I return (after an hour or more) the posts appears as normal. I don't know whether this is a bug which has been reported before by other members or if it is completely new.

Is that any more clear, Gis?
