Thanks Gis, I think I know what you mean.

The quests are the persons who are viewing this forum, but aren't a member yet.

Manon....You are correct. "Guests" are visitors who are not members. Many of them never intend to become members; they are here only to lurk and to gain what ever information they can find. As Gis explained, those who are "hidden" have selected a choice in the set up of their profiles which does not show their online status to be viewed by the general membership. However, Gis, any administrators, and the moderators can see the names of those members.

PostSubject: Re: question?   07.11.09 19:06

Has anybody else notiiced this phenomenon? When you make a post to one of the thread topics, your post doesn't show up after the thread automatically refreshes after you've sent it. Yet, when you choose the index for that section of the form, the last post indicator shows that you did make the post. This strange occurance has been happening to me since early yesterday. I don't know if it's simply a bug isolated to our board or if its a bug in the operating software.

Several times, over the last two days when I've had a just few minutes to check on the board, I've also run into this. It's happened when I've tried to view whomever made the last post to a thread. That page has opened but the poster, who was shown on to have posted as be the index on the previous page, didn't show up; the person prior to them did, instead.

I hope I'm making myself clear on this, LOL. It's a rather complicated issue and difficult to describe so that it will translate well for Gis.

PostSubject: Re: question?   07.11.09 23:10

Ooops! LOL Sorry, Gislaine. I kind of thought what I said would not translate well. grrrrrrrrrmur

Let me say that all, differently.
Over that past day or so, when I've posted to various threads, the posts I've made don't show up, immediately, on the board when the thread comes up again after it automatically. This is after I've sent the post and after the post makes it to the board and is posted in the whatever thread I put it in. Then, when I refresh the forum and the opening index page appears (the first page you see when you log on), it clearly shows that I the post I made is really here. However, when I open that thread to check on it, it's not there. What does show up is the last post of the person who posted right before I did.

I've had this same thing happen when viewing the posts of others. The main page shows that they've posted to a thread but when I select that thread and it opens, their post (the last post made) isn't visable.

This is not an issue with my computer; believe me, I've already checked that one out, LOL. This strange event only happens at the BJDG forum. I guess this situation might be referred to as disappearing posts. Then, when I return (after an hour or more) the posts appears as normal. I don't know whether this is a bug which has been reported before by other members or if it is completely new.

Is that any more clear, Gis?

I know what you mean Mary. Also yesterday it took me a while to use "quote" option. I wanted to edit my post to add someone's quote and when I clicked "preview" it all looked ok but when I saved changes the post looked as it had never been changed.

Thanks for the link, Gis! bisousfleurs

I did some research on their forums and we are not the only ones having this bug, LOL. At present their techs have no idea of what is happening but they are working on it.

I was not able to post my bug question to their forum because, while I can read access it to read it, I must be a board owner to post. Obviously I don't have a board with them, LOL, but I will keep my eyes open for any responses to those board owners who have this problem, also.

Girls, I noticed that the emoticon 'grouphug' has dissapeared.
Would it be possible to get it back? Thank you!
