i just started to learn portuguese and i love it, so i looked for some words about skating:

to skate - patinar

a skating ring - uma pista de patinação

a skate - um patim

i was thinking that it would be really nice to write in this thread words about skating in all the foreign languages we know....what do you say?

For other latin languages portuguese isn't hard to learn, excepts about verbs. The conjugaison of the verbs is very difficult even for us who speaks portuguese. But I will love to help all of you with portuguese lessons.

i love portuguese, but i find the pronounciation a little difficult... i mean i'm not very sure if i pronounce correctly all the words.... but for the moment this is just a passion, learning portuguese...i would love to visit portugal and brazil and not to speak in english, but portuguese

The pronounce is a funny thing, in Brazil people speaks portuguese but in a very different way of the portuguese spoken in Portugal. Sometimes it is very hard to understand what the portugueses says because of the pronunce. I read in a article that the portuguese spoken in Brazil is very similar of the language spoken in Portugal at the fifiteen century.
I read some romanian words and I find them very similar of portuguese. So, I think it will be very easy to you to learn portuguese. :super:
