Just a thread for small items of general skating news of all sorts.....

A trio of bouncing baby boys to skating parents -

Sale & Peletier
Maxim Marinin & his better half
Elena Berezhnaya & Steven Cousins......all recently have had sons.

Obertas & Slavnov are missing at least the first half of this season, maybe all of it.

{There is an interview (in Russian) with Elena & Steven (he speaks in English!) - linked to it is a clip of Plushenko's (in)famous "Sexbomb" routine performed in Russia along with Elena & Irina Sluskaya, it is the funniest version I've seen of it (& I think its a pretty funny exhibition!!)}

Jamie Sale and David Pelletier's son is named Jesse Joe. The few pictures that have been released show that he's an adorable little boy.

what happened to them? I've been out of skating news for a while...

anyway, even they'll be able to compete at russian nationals, I don't think they can make the world team...

There is a thread about it on Goldenskate, as far as I can gather Julia has been skating on an injury - which has finally given up - & Sergei had some surgery. I think they physically need some recovery time & are uncertain how long it will take.

When I read this, I was lightly said IN SHOCK affraid

!!!!! I have always considered them as a happy couple, but it appears it wasn't like that Neutral

I'm very sad to hear news like these! Everytime I hear that a couple which I thought were very happy in their marriage split up, I loose hope that real love still exists pale
