I'm sorry to have to tell you this, as I know several of you are fans of them, but Mark & Chrissie have retired from competitive skating & will now skate professionally. See their officlal website for confirmation (both news & journal sections).

I just find out about Jamie and David's divorce! It's good that they will still skate together and maybe someday they will remarried again for the sake of Jessie!

Hmmm....Everybody has their own opinions, I guess. Personally, I'll miss Tanith and Ben. I enjoyed watching them do their thing on the ice.

I liked them before 2007, after I missed their competency to show any kind of new style (I mean I didn't like the woman-figure in their programs with "I'm so artistic with my dying face and opened mouth".
And I like Meryl and Charlie better.

But I think in spite of this I'm gonna miss them next year. Life is going on...

Many people asked for resurgence for FFSG eh well not! Didier Gaillaguet was reelected to 88 %!
Beaucoup demandaient du renouveau pour la FFSG hé bien non ! Didier Gaillaguet a été réélu à 88 % !
Alexandre Piton 7%, Marie-Reine Le Gougne 5%, Michel-Ange Marie-Calixte 0,04.

Gaillaguet won?!!! Againa??? Yuck!!!! I guess we can expect more of the same. Rolling Eyes Is there anyone withing the French Fed who would be able to overthrow him...ever? LOL There must be some political dissention somewhere in that organization which can amass enough support and can push him out.

Mary, hey yes Didier Gaillaguet won with a great majority, amazing that the name of Candeloro (it supported Piton)) had no echo for Alexandre Piton's candidacy)!

He had to have convainquants arguments! hide8up

There is a Google translation posted by Nmsis over at FSU which explains much of what has been going on under Gaillaguet's administration, along with comments by the other candidates for the position of president of the FFSG; it's all dirty politics. http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=73546&page=12 I had to laugh that the article refers to Gaillaguet as a "little Stalin." I would think that sums of the situation quite well, lol.

well, nothing surprises me anymore in the world.
this week, cornel cheorghe, the former figure skater and current trainer of zoltan kelemen was removed from his position as coach. and since there was no legal way to remove his based on his acomplishments ( zoli kelemen did a great job by qualifing for the winter olys ) the head of the romania figure skating federation removed his job. as of this week the boys have no coach.
i know it's sounds mad, because it is mad. i don't even know who adrian ciobanu is or what he's done for the world of sport. i even tried to google him and nothing comes up. so this nobody removed cornel gheorghe from his position as a coach and zoltan is strongly considering retiring.
i am mad, mad, mad icon_boxe i mean seriously if i could beat the shit out of this adrian ciobanu right now i would.

PostSubject: Plushenko ineligible???!!!!   28.06.10 18:49

Here's a major bombshell for ya! LOL According to the ISU Plush is no longer eligible to compete. Scroll down to number 5 for the official ruling.

I'd say Plush goofed....big time. LOL On the other hand, maybe he doesn't give a rat's a$$.
