is he going to attend a funeral after???

lol! Yes, I do not like Evan's costume for SP either. I never knew that all black could be more boring! He looks like he's dressed for practice, not competition. And I think he's just trying to capitalize on what works best for him, which explains the repeated moves in both sp and lp. Despite all of this, I really enjoyed Evan's SP! Smile

And thanks for the links, Annie!

lol! When Evan came out for his SP at Skate America, mom and I both said that he looked a cat bulgar...all he needed was a ski mask.

I love Daisuke's SP. It's so amazing.

Thanks Annie!

cheering YAY BROOKE AND BEN! Great job for winning ahead of Rena and John! Twisted Evil

Awww Fumie. I was hoping she'd do better. But wow, even Mira Leung had higher score than Fumie.

Great showing for Katrina Hacker in her first senior international competition! And I hope Bebe Liang gets into podium position. GO TASMANIAN DEVIL!!!!!

I love your post irina Very Happy
I agree as for Evan - this leg lifting move is in every program of his.
and Jeff as Peter Pan! I didn't actually think of him this way but this is just a perfect association Very Happy
I love Daisuke's SP. it is simply perfect! I on the other hand like his hair Smile and that's true - it's nice to see the quad in SP. I hope that Daisuke and Tomas will put the quad in their SP next year.

really small difference in points between Mao and Miki. and I'm happy for Joannie, somehow I like her Smile

Congratulations to Daisuke and his team on winning with 264.41 pts. I'm not his fan, but he deserved my respect by taking risks and including 2 quads and 2 triple axels in his free - something I've never seen Brian doing (and with his new logic of not taking risks at important events, not preparing two new programmes, not working with people who criticize him I doubt I'll ever see) . And now I will only be glad if Takahashi wins in a month.

I'm beginning to think that Brian should've never left Morozov.

I watched it and I'm really impressed.
He jumped in the first half: 4t, 4t2t, 3a; and in the second half: 3a2t2l, 3f3t, 3s, 3l (over-rotated), 3lutz ... and he doesn't even seem to be tired in the straight line step sequence at the end!!!
Shocked
Congrats Daisuke!! I guess he'll be unbeatable this season.

Congrats Daisuke!!! cheers I haven't seen his LP yet, but it sounds amazing. I really love his skating and knew he was amazing when I saw him in Simsbury years ago. At Skate America, he was fantastic and brought the house down for both the SP and LP. Congrats to Jeremy Abbott, who beat his PB.

Congrats to Meryl and Charlie too!!! Smile

I like Daisuke, he skates with a lot of feeling, style & skill, & is certainly the hot favourite going into Worlds next month!

I agree with Sheena! While working with Morozov, Brian didn't believe in himself anymore. Through Morozov he lost his self-confidence! I'm glad he left him!

So...? Just before the Olympics Tarasova hit Yagudin right in his handsome face which doesn't make her a bad coach or a less talented choreographer, or diminishes her contribution to his Olympic success.

Wow I expected Ashley Wagner to be on that podium or close to it. Surprising.

Congrats to Mao Asada! And Miki Ando... World Champion yes but I'm guessing she and Meissner are fighting for bronze in Sweden if Carolina Kostner doesn't get to it first! Assuming that Mao and Yuna have the top two locked.

Daisuke's scores are just Shocked :sotr_th43:
I'm downloading the vid right now, because I'm curious if he really deserved such a high marks. By now I can say that I like his SP very much as I remember it from some other competition. And 2 quads and 2 triple axels in the free program are really impressive, indeed.

I think that there will be very interesting fight during Worlds!

I'm also happy for Tessa and Scott for winning ice dancing contest. They are one of my favourites couples and I hope that they will achieve a great result at Worlds Smile
