OK! I try it Embarassed

1 -- I can stand up.
2 -- I'm walking.(I like it!)
3 -- I'm angry!
4 -- I become sleepy.

He seems puppy. so... it's nothing special about these words. Razz
and your avatar.... プルルンキュピ is .... it's just like sounds.

プルルン -- Prurun
キュピ -- kyupi

When we express the feel of the pudding, we say " pururun" . it sounds cute. Razz
and "kyupi" has nothing meaning.... It's just sounds.
"pururun kyupi" remaind us something cute. Razz .... sorry I can't say it well.. Embarassed

aha Razz I'm glad that you are interested in Japanes cheers
Nacchatta is just "Become" we almost don't use the subject.

so (watashi wa) nemuku nacchatta. is I become sleepy.

watashi wa ---- I
nemuku ------- sleepy
nacchatta ----- become

Japanese has very different grammar from English. I think Chinese is more similar to English than Japanese on the grammer. Wink

and " good night " is " oyasumi "
おやすみ --- oyasumi --- good night Very Happy

so oyasumi, everyone !! now it's am 1:30 in Japan
lol!

Here is a very good translator from english to japanese and japanese to english :

http://nifty.amikai.com/amitext/indexUTF8.jsp

you use this 英語 > 日本語 (eigo > nihongo) to make the translation form english to japanese and this 日本語 > 英語 (nihongo > eigo) to make the translation from japanese to english.

To make the translation you click on 翻訳する (honyaku suru).

By the way "good luck" can sometimes be translated as 頑張って(下さい) [ganbatte(kudasai)]. This means more like, Go for it! or work hard at it! and is usually said before someone takes a test, competes, etc. The "kudasai" is added to be more polite, sort of like "Please do your best".

And what means "senpai" and "kouhai" ?

I've seen this words here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXnvL4GN3go

The suffixes such as -san -chan -kun -sama -sempai -sensei etc are used as a sort of honourific to be polite. Please understand that the Japanese language is much more fomal than most Western languages.

-san is a gerneral honourific that one uses with those who are socially at the same level as the speaker. So, I'd address you as "Adelina-san"

-chan/-kun are used between young children and also from adults addressing young children. Occasionally when two people have had a close relationship since early childhood, they will continue to address each other as -chan/-kun even when older. -chan is unisex whereas -kun is generally used for boys, but can rarely be used for girls. A screenname of mine is "Mochi-kun". (おてんばっ娘です! ^o^ / I am a tomboy)

-sama is used to express great respect. You would address someone of higher social station like this, such as an elder, a lord, etc. Also, shop proprietors customarily address their patrons as -sama to express their deep thanks that the customer chooses to do business in their establishment.

Sempai is a term to designate an upperclassman, such as in secondary school. It is a respectful term.

Sensei is a teacher. So, I call my dance teacher Kaneta-sensei and not Kaneta-san.

-hime is a princess.

There are of course others but these are the ones that you should encounter most often. I will put up the kanji/kana of these terms if you want.

Oh... Embarassed Thank you so much, Rach Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed I'm toooo late. and I thought that I wasn't able to show it like you did.
Your Japanese is perfect !!!! :sotr_th43:

and Kouhai is a lowerclassman.

so ...For example, There are Daisuke(Takahashi) and Nobunari (Oda). They belong to the same ice skate club of the same university.and Daisuke is older than Nobinari, and he is an upperclassman for Nobunari, so Daisuke is a Senpai for Nobunari. and then Nobunari is a lowerclassman for Daisuke, so Nobunari is a Kouhai for Daisuke.
